Measuring

FOR PANELS:

  1. Measure the opening width and height.
  2. If measuring a door be sure to measure height from the floor to top of opening (for mounting sill to floor).
  3. If door has steps, measure the height from the top of the step to the top of the opening (for mounting sill to top of front of steps).
  4. Download Panel Chart to determine finished width of opening & number of panels needed.
  5. Add 6” to height for window & 3” for Door.
  6. Standard H – Header top track & studded angle bottom track are included.
  7. Place shutter finished size measurements for width and height on order -OR- you may provide your opening dimensions and we will determine your finished shutter size.

Installation

  1. Locate center of window and mark.
  2. Locate center of H-Header and mark.
  3. Pre-drill starter holes in H-Header.
  4. Pre-drill holes in F-Track.
  5. Your H-Header comes pre-cut to fit your window.
  6. Drill the first hole for the H-Header.
  7. Drill in the first Tapcon screw.
  8. Level the H-Header and drill the remaining holes.
  9. Line up the F-Track.
  10. Drill first hole in the F-Track.
  11. Drill the first Tapcon in the F-Track.
  12. Level the F-Track and drill the remaining holes.
  13. Slide the mounting screws into the F-Track.
  14. Put the panel in place.
  15. Wing nut the panels in place.
  16. The panels will overlap each other across the window.
