As a family owned business we are truly motivated to provide the best products we can to our clients so they can protect their homes and buildings or simply improve the architectural beauty with long-lasting excellent aluminum products.
Palm Coast Shutters was established by Robert McNally in 2000 in order to provide high-quality hurricane shutters to the custom homes and projects he was building in Vero Beach, Florida. As a high-end custom home building firm, the company required hurricane protection systems that met their high standards for both architectural design and quality.
The company developed relationships with exclusive aluminum extruders, built out its own team of fabrication experts, and began installing sophisticated shutter systems for residential and commercial projects.
“We were stunned at the number of houses that had zero protective devices, more stunned that homeowners did not even close the shutters, and saddened by the level of truly severe damage caused to the structures without protection.”
In 2004, Palm Coast Shutter’s hometown of Vero Beach was hit by two major hurricanes in less than three weeks. “We were stunned at the number of houses that had zero protective devices, more stunned that homeowners did not even close the shutters, and saddened by the level of truly severe damage caused to the structures without protection.” The company was suddenly besieged with orders for shutter systems.
Soon thereafter, the company developed the “Easy To Close” shutter line which enabled homeowners to quickly and easily close their own shutters. This meant homeowners were no longer dependent on maintenance companies (who are often overwhelmed during times of hurricane warnings) to close their shutters.
In 2009, Austin McNally was hired to head up Palm Coast Shutters and continues to run the company to this day. Robert McNally remains the CEO of Palm Coast Development working on first-class residential and commercial construction projects along the Treasure Coast of Florida. As a father and son team, Palm Coast Shutters has designed, developed, and installed millions and millions of dollars of storm shutter systems on homes, sophisticated mixed-use projects, and commercial buildings. Their experience in design, application, and installation provides the knowledge of “hands-on” experience and proper aesthetic applications when called for.
